The "Wool" Litter
DOB 2/9/12

Clarabelle gave birth to 10 healthy babies: 4 boys, 6 girls. All are doing great, as is mom!  The litter is likely all reserved by myself and the waitlist (I have already emailed you if you are on the waitlist to verify you are still interested).
UPDATE: 3/9/12 Unfortunately I had to have one baby, TMLS Cheviot put to sleep today. She had visited the vet yesterday due to a swollen red eye, originally beleived to be a scratch, that had ruptured. The vet confirmed it needed to be removed and scheduled surgery for today. After she was under anesthesia, the vet determined her jaw was misaligned and the poor baby had teeth impacted and growing incorrectly, causing the eye issue. She recommended euthenasia. The remaining babies will be monitored as well, in case it is something that affected more than one baby.
UPDATE 3/18/12: Everyone is growing and eating well, no symptoms like poor Cheviot. Little Donegal has one front tooth that is a little  longer so I will keep him to monitor to ensure there are no issues (it may just me being paranoid). But in case he does need frequent teeth trimmings I can be sure he recieves them.
Update 4/15/12: Donegal and his brother Petershan found a home with a VERY experienced rat owner, willing to continue watching and trimming his teeth as needed. They are happily in love with their new family :)
UPDATE 7/25/12: No reports of any further tooth/mouth abnormalities as the litter has grown, and even Donegal's teeth are growing in more in line with what it should since the new owner took him home!
