The 4 brothers were adopted from LMR (Little Mischief Rescue) around June/July 2008. They had quite the trip to get to me! They started at LMR in BC Canada. They were taken to Olympia for the night until Debbie and her husband were able to transport them to Portland. Once in Portland, they stayed with Debbie & Steve until I was able to pick them up about a week later. They then came all the way to Bend with me :) There story before coming to me was as follows (from Little Micheif Rescue Adopted pets/ see at: http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=10475925) "After several months at a local shelter, the four HUGE boys are now in rescue and are doing well! Alvin is an agouti hooded, Archie is a black berk, Bart is a champagne boy (pale warm pinky beige with dark ruby eyes) and Beavis is a beautiful black hooded rat. They are all quite curious and come to the door to see what you're up to but they aren't quite sure yet about being picked up. After their 3 weeks in a quarantine foster they are now in their actual foster home where they'll learn that people are fun to be around with. Alvin quickly found a new love in his foster home - A comfort wheel. He spends lots of time running in it so his new home should provide him with one since he really enjoys it. The boys are approx. 1 year old and spent several months at a local shelter before we decided to take them in so that they get a bit more TLC in a foster home setting. It would be nice if all four boys could find a home together as they get along so well but we can split them up in two pairs: Archie & Beavis and Alvin & Bart as that's how they hang out if they pair up and we think it's important to respect their preferences. " They are now in their forever home with me! They are sweet, but quite shy. They love treats, and scritches, but still are unsure of being picked up. They don't bite or anything just squirm a bit which results in some scratches :) They are very big boys and I'm excited to have them hear to spoil! They are approximately 1.5 years old currently (believed to be born around Jan-April 2007?) |
Unfortunately Alvin Passed away 10/23/08 and I lost Sweet Bart on 2/17/09, the other guys lasted quite awhile longer....Beavis passed on 9/21/09 then Archie was the last to go on 11/9/09. |
